Win pairs of Benicassim tickets just by checking out a couple of live acts. Kinky Afro is proud to announce an associated party with the Benicassim Festival in Spain. For those not in the know this festival is the unsung hero on the European circuit. Going for over 10 years the line up is as varied as it gets. This year the stages will be graced by The Cure, Oasis, Underworld, LCD Soundsystem, Basement Jaxx, Fischerspooner, Peaches, Matthew Herbert, Andrew Weatherall, David Carretta and good old lovable Mylo to name but a few. There are also a series of label showcases from Lado, Areal, Tigersushi, Static Disco and DFA records, beach parties, over a week of seaside camping, Go-karting, water park and all round Mediterranean goodness. We have a series of pairs of tickets to give away at the Comb. The first 100 punters through the door will enter a raffle to win tickets, Benicassim festival CDs and other merchandise. Doors open at 9pm. Kinky Afro will be hosting the Pista Pop tent on the Sunday night at the festival and we invite all and sundry to join us. The full line-up of this event is far from confirmed but Kinky Afro, Clash Magazine and Radio Magnetic will host a wide range of acts and DJs.
